Discover How To Make Baby Car Travel Easier..

Do you find taking your baby on car journeys stressful? Does your baby hate travelling alone in the back whilst you’re in the front driving.
Well firstly don’t think you’re alone. As much as we all like to believe all babies like car travel the reality tends to be very different.
However knowing that still doesn’t make it any easier but these five tips should make life in the car that little bit easier.
1. Play music in the car
Music has a very calming influence on babies and playing it in the car is a great way to break the silence of car travel and all those odd noises that go along with travelling in the car.
What music you use is very much dependent on what you and baby like. If it’s a bit of Ella Fitzgerald then use her, but if baby lullabies have more successful then make sure you’ve got a pile in your car!
2. Have the most comfy baby car seat you can afford
There are a huge of baby car seats on the market, all with very subtle differences. You should always pop your baby into one before buying to make sure it’s comfortable and isn’t going to restrict them. If it does then you’re definitely going to know about it.
3. Take some infant books with you
Unless your baby is some kind of genius they won’t be able to read yet. That doesn’t mean that there’s no point in taking baby books with you though. These act as great distractions and will have your baby telling you everything that’s in the book as opposed to crying about the journey.
4. Add some car seat toys as distractions
There are now a great range of toys that attach straight to the car seat and act as a very welcome distraction. My partner’s nephew goes from tantrum to calm in seconds with his Light Sound Buggy Driver.
5. Have sun shades in place for Summer
Your baby can easily get hot and uncomfortable when the Sun is able to shine directly through the window. Using sun shades is a great way to protect them from the Sun without blocking out the light totally.
Have you got any other hints on making car travel with baby easier? If you do please please please add them below!
