You want the best for your child. It’s why you cook them food from scratch instead of feeding them out of a jar. It’s also why you check the labels carefully on all clothes and try where you can to buy organic baby clothes (if you’re having problems, my problems were solved when I discovered Gossypium).
There’s one area that’s tends to be over looked through and that’s baby products - you know the baby shampoo you wash their hair in, the moisturiser you smoother them in after their bath.
And there’s one reason for that and it’s not down to us as parents. It’s down to the shops selling us the baby products.
Go into your local supermarket and pick up any baby product and you’ll see words you don’t understand listed in the contents. Reading these incomprehensible words means one thing - it’s as far away from being natural as you could want.
But what can you do? If you can’t buy organic baby products then you can’t use them can you.
It’s a sad truth but not one that has to be accepted.
If you’re a true parent who’s passionate about bring up an organic baby you don’t have to compromise.
You just need to go online (if you know of places offline please please add a comment below and I’ll endeavour to make a resource listing the all..) and two of my favourite places for organic baby are Green People and Mums The Word.
Mums The Word is perfect if you’re just concerned about making sure your baby is organic because it’s focused purely on babies and mums. Green People, however is a must if your focus is on having a wholly organic life because it covers every aspect of your life.
